We maintain a flock of approximately 150 laying hens here at Twin Brook Farms. Check out some of the many breeds we grow and their egg color on the right side of the page. Many of these are Heritage Breeds!
The girl’s free range during the day and are locked in their barns at night to protect them from predators.
They do a phenomenal job picking and scratching, reducing pest populations during the summer months and cleaning up in and around the barnyard all year long.
Our girls are allowed to hatch eggs during the spring and summer months if they feel the calling, and we sometimes have random cross bred chicks available.
Multi-colored eggs are available off farm for $5.00 per dozen.
If interested in fertile hatching eggs, please contact us directly to ensure the eggs are not refrigerated.
Fertile eggs, straight barnyard mix, are $7/dozen.
We have lavender and traditional pearl guinea hens. Due to start hatching in May. Fertile eggs may be available mid-May.
Keets $8 each
Fertile eggs $15/dozen
Our ducks sleep in little coops, but free roam during the daytime. We have 2 large ponds and 2 brooks for them to mess about in. The eggs are super rich and larger than chicken eggs.
Duck eggs are $7 per dozen.
